Checklist

The Admissions Committee considers a candidate once the file is complete, which includes the child's present school records and references, parent and child interviews, standardized testing and faculty observations. We urge parents to ask that their child's records be sent directly to our school.

Notification: Along with other independent schools in New York, The Town School mails letters of notification in February to parents of Kindergarten and First grade candidates whose files are completed. Letters to parents of Nursery 3 and Nursery 4 applicants are mailed in March. Candidates for grades 2-8 may be notified in February. See Notification Dates for more detail.

Nursery 3:

Completed application with fee

Nursery 4:

Kindergarten and First Grade:
