Sustainability in Action!

Today, Town's Upper School Environmental Club took the soil made from our composting barrel on the roof and planted herbs in window boxes, which will grow in the cafeteria over the summer. It is our hope to be using them in school lunches in the fall. The soil was created over a four month period by leaves they collected from the park, organic snack waste collected by the Second grade and kitchen scraps. Sustainability in action!
