We look forward to meeting you and your child and introducing you to our students, our faculty and our programs.

Parents are invited to visit the school in the Fall of 2012. Parents may tour the school before filing an application. Group tours are conducted Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., September 2012 through January 2013. We ask that you call the Admissions Office at (212) 288-6395 to join one of these tours.

Children are invited to visit in playgroups with other applicants (for Nursery through Kindergarten) or to spend a day in the classroom (for First through Eighth grade applicants). Please see the Schedule a Child Visit page for details.

Directions

The Town School is located on a tree-lined cul de sac at 540 East 76th Street, overlooking the East River. The closest cross street is York Avenue, and the closest subway is the 77th Street and Lexington Avenue stop on the 6 line. The M79 cross-town bus stops at 79th Street and York Avenue, just a short walk from Town. If travelling by subway, be sure to also factor in about 15 minutes for the walk from the subway stop to Town. On-street parking in the area is limited, but there are several parking garages in the neighborhood.
