Flipped Admissions Process for Spring 2020.
We are so pleased that you are interested in The Town School! Ordinarily in the spring, families would now be checking schools off their "to-visit" list and feeling a sense of accomplishment and excitement about possibilities. In these extraordinary times, we wanted to offer you an opportunity to engage virtually with Town as you begin to explore your child's next steps as a learner.
The Town Admissions Office is available to meet or answer questions any time, and we have "flipped" our usual model of Spring Tours to offer families time to have a conversation with Director of Admissions Debbie Ashe at your convenience. This conversation will serve as the parent interview requirement for our Admissions process, though you are welcome to have another chat with us at any time in the future, and you will only need to come in during the fall for a school tour and child visit. We know you are all juggling so much with childcare and home learning, working from home, or even working daily in the medical profession or other essential roles. Therefore, please consider your virtual conversation with Debbie to be a "come as you are," setting, whether that means children or pets wandering in or a parent needing to attend to something else.
Click here to complete our brief inquiry form, and then schedule your appointment to meet with Debbie, (after you inquire, you will receive a link to choose a time to meet) or contact the Admissions team any time with questions.

Applicants to Nursery 3, Nursery, 4 and Kindergarten join an afternoon child visit group with fellow applicants, engaging in casual classroom activities and free play.
Children applying for Lower School or Upper School (1st - 8th grades) will spend a half day in a classroom of their current grade. Visiting children are assigned a buddy to help introduce them to Town, and during their visit, a Town learning specialist will assess math and reading skills in an informal one-to-one setting.
All child playgroups and visits are scheduled through the Admissions office. More details are available on the process page for each Division, and you are welcome to contact us any time with questions.
