How to Apply to Grades 1 - 4
To begin the admissions process, please submit an application. Once you have submitted your application, you will be able to schedule your parent tour, parent conversation, and additional visits.
Submit Online Application
Begin the process by creating an account through our parent portal. Once signed in, click on the green button that says "Begin admissions process" and follow the prompts.
Age Requirements
If a child is successfully completing a grade, but their birthday puts them in a different grade, we will assess them for the grade they would be going into next year.
Begin Completing Your Checklist
After submitting your application, you will gain access to your parent portal. There, you can review your application checklist and begin scheduling your visits. You will also complete other required items, including requesting the ISAAGNY Single Teacher Recommendation Form, and completing the ISAAGNY Parent Statement and ISAAGNY Student Writing Prompt.
Schedule Your Visit to Town
Once you have submitted your application through the parent portal, our office will contact you to schedule your visit.
Your child will spend a morning (about 4 hours) in our classrooms, meeting their peers, and experiencing our program. While your child is here, they will also have a brief one-on-one assessment with one of our Lower School learning specialists.
During this time, you will have a parent tour. Tours typically last 45-60 minutes.
Please note: Applicants from abroad or moving from out-of-state who will not be in NYC during the fall season will be invited to attend a Google Meets assessment with our learning specialists.
Parent/Guardian Conversation
Through your parent portal, you will have access to our appointment calendar, where you will be able to schedule your 30 minute parent/guardian conversation with a member of our Admissions team.
This appointment will be over Google Meet. While not required, we recommend scheduling your parent/guardian conversation to occur after your tour and student visit.
Request ISAAGNY Single Teacher Recommendation Form
Through your parent portal, you will have the ability to send a direct request to your child's current teacher (via email address) to have them complete and submit the ISAAGNY Single Teacher Recommendation Form.
Request or Upload School Reports
Through your parent portal, you can upload your child’s school reports or transcripts. Please start by uploading all reports from the past two years. Once you receive the Fall 2025 report this winter, you can upload that as well.
