Dear Town Community,
As Head of School, a faculty member, and a parent of a Town alumna, I am so proud of what our community accomplishes together every day. We have, through continued creative problem-solving, reflection, and refinement, led the way in ensuring a safe and engaging environment for our students to learn, collaborate, and grow. Thanks to the partnership of our families and the sustained, innovative work of our faculty, administrators, staff, and trustees, our students and our program continue to thrive.
At Town, we are always asking: how can we make our excellent school even better? How can we continue to evolve to best serve our students and our mission? In that spirit, I am excited to share Town's Forward, Together campaign, which will support critical investments in our school's and our students' future.
When we come together as a community, we create the best Town possible. I hope you will join me in continuing our tradition of excellence, innovation, academic challenge, and joy.

Investing in our students, our faculty, and our future.
To ensure that Town continues to prepare students to reach their potential as learners, citizens, and leaders, Town has launched a $12 million campaign, the largest fundraising initiative in Town’s history.
The Forward, Together campaign has already begun to significantly enhance critical components of the Town experience, from the student community, to our faculty and curriculum, to the building that Town calls home.
Together we will strengthen Town’s foundation, realize our bold vision, and ensure our school remains an inspiring academic community for current and future generations of Town students.
Students: $5 million
Expanding financial aid to support our families.
We make admissions decisions based on the children and families who will thrive at Town, and our strong, connected community reflects the impact of this mission-centered approach. Through the Forward, Together Campaign, Town will expand its financial aid program through an endowed fund to help ensure that talented students and families who embody Town's values can be part of our community.
As we look to the future, we must continue investing in meaningful, personalized financial assistance. Creating an endowed fund for financial aid will provide a sustainable source of support each year, enabling more families to access a Town education.
Through a thoughtful and individualized process, we are able to welcome students who will succeed in our program and contribute meaningfully to our community. Strengthening financial aid will help sustain the vibrant, engaged community that makes Town so special.

Investments in our building, faculty, curriculum development and community partnerships.
Spaces
Thoughtfully designed learning environments are essential to delivering an exceptional educational experience. Through recent and upcoming facility investments, Town is creating spaces that support collaboration, discovery, and academic excellence across every grade.
Recent capital projects include the completion of the Ecology Lab and the transformation of the Library and Technology Center. The Ecology Lab expands opportunities for hands-on science and sustainability learning, while the new library and tech center spaces serve as a dynamic hub for research, collaboration, and innovation in the name of information literacy.
The next major facilities priority is the renovation of the 5th and 6th Grade Wing. Home to Upper School Math, Spanish, language arts, and music classes, the redesigned wing will feature bright, flexible, student-centered learning spaces that better support collaboration, creativity, and engaged teaching and learning.
Faculty and Curriculum
Town's faculty are the foundation of an exceptional educational experience, and we remain committed to attracting, developing, and retaining outstanding teachers. Through ongoing professional development, executive coaching partnerships, and curriculum review, we invest in innovative, research-informed teaching practices that strengthen student learning and ensure academic excellence across all grades.
At the same time, we continually evaluate and refine our curriculum to reflect Town’s values, incorporate diverse perspectives, and prepare students to be thoughtful, lifelong learners. By investing in both faculty growth and curricular excellence, we ensure that Town remains a leader in independent school education while providing students with the skills, knowledge, and curiosity they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Partnerships
Learning extends far beyond the classroom at Town. By leveraging New York City’s unparalleled educational, cultural, and civic resources, Town connects students with institutions, experts, and real-world experiences that deepen academic learning and bring the curriculum to life.
These partnerships provide students with opportunities to engage directly with scholars, researchers, artists, and civic leaders, helping them develop critical thinking skills, broaden their perspectives, and apply Town’s values in meaningful ways. Through these experiences, students become more informed, engaged, and thoughtful participants in their communities and the wider world.

Strengthening our endowment to ensure Town’s future.
A strong endowment provides Town with a reliable source of annual income that supports the academic program, financial aid, and long-term strategic priorities. By growing the endowment, Town can reduce its reliance on tuition, strengthen its financial flexibility, and ensure it has the resources to respond to future challenges and opportunities.
Investment in the endowment creates lasting impact. Because endowment earnings support the operating budget year after year, a larger fund generates sustainable funding that benefits current and future students alike. Strengthening the endowment helps secure Town's ability to provide a nurturing, challenging, and joyful educational experience for generations to come.

This is a historic moment for Town. The resources required to achieve our vision are greater than any prior strategic initiative, and our community understands as never before the value of a Town education. We know that Town’s program and faculty are strong and flexible enough to meet every moment. And we know that when we come together, we can accomplish anything.
To continue providing the best N–8 education in New York City, and to remain competitive in an ever-changing independent school market, we must invest now in what makes Town special: an educational experience that is exemplary, inclusive, student-centered, and innovative. An experience that prepares students to take on the challenges of high school and life with grit and grace.
Forward, Together will ensure continued excellence across our curriculum, that our building has the necessary upgrades to accommodate enhancements to our program, and that Town remains a community that strives to create a sense of belonging for all.
