Applying for Financial Aid

How to Apply
Coverage, Fees & Payments

Town's current budget for financial aid is $4.5 million, supporting about 30% of current students with financial assistance. All financial aid at Town is need-based. Financial need is defined as the difference between the costs of a school and the family’s ability to pay for these expenses. Many factors—among them income, expenses, assets, debt, and the number of children attending tuition-charging schools—are considered to determine whether there is a demonstrable need for financial aid. Because these factors constantly shift, families are required to apply for financial aid every year.

Starting this year, we are excited to be partnering with Clarity, a new streamlined financial aid application platform that drastically reduces the amount of time it takes to submit an application by pulling your tax returns directly from the IRS.

Because funds are limited, Town strongly encourages families to apply for financial aid prior to the first-consideration December 15th deadline. Pending availability, the school may accept financial aid applications after this deadline. If you have any questions about the process or eligibility, feel free to schedule a confidential conversation with Gary Mui, Director of Finance.

How to Apply

Important Dates
  • FA applications for 2024-25 will be available starting October 16
  • FA application deadline is December 1

Each year, the need for assistance exceeds the funds available from the financial aid budget. We strongly recommend that families, both new and returning, adhere to the financial aid deadlines. The Financial Aid Committee will only make award determinations for families whose files are complete and whose accounts are current.

Please note: Financial Aid begins at Kindergarten and is not available for Nursery 3 or Nursery 4 students.

Once you have submitted your financial aid application through Clarity, they will advise you of any additional required documents that are needed to be uploaded to complete your financial aid process.  All applicants who successfully complete their financial aid application by the deadline will be considered.
