Resources for Accepted Families

Nursery and Kindergarten student arrival is at 8:15am, with dismissal at 2:30pm (12:00pm option for Nursery 3s). Children can be dropped off as early as 7:30am to Early Risers and can stay at school in Clubhouse until 6:00pm (5:30pm on Fridays) at no additional cost to families. Alternatively, students can sign up for various afterschool programming as part of Postscripts by trimester, at an additional cost. Town families walk, drive, take public transportation, or take Town buses to school each day. 

We’ve recently expanded our roundtrip bus service to make Town even more accessible to families around the city. Bus service is at no additional cost to families, a rarity among our peer schools. We have bus routes originating in Brooklyn (Downtown Brooklyn) and continuing up the East Side, Lower Manhattan (Tribeca), Midtown, and the east and west sides from 125th street south (two separate routes).

Nursery and Kindergarten students should be dressed for the weather, for active play and in clothes they can learn to manage independently. Children should keep sneakers for PE class and a full change of clothes at school, including shirt, sweater, socks, long pants, underwear, and mittens. Nursery and Kindergarten students eat lunch in their classrooms. Each day, students have the option to either bring lunch or choose a lunch option from the cafeteria.
